OverdriveNTool is great for AMD hardware.

Overclocking a video card is a measure taken by miners to increase equipment performance and more productive cryptocurrency mining. For these purposes, special software is used ...

The process is quite complicated, since there is a risk of spoiling the equipment. Therefore, you need to choose a program for overclocking carefully and taking into account all the nuances, at least the manufacturer and model of the video card.

OverdriveNTool is great for AMD hardware. Below we will consider the features of the program and understand the principles of its operation.

Features and system requirements OverdriveNTool

System requirements OverdriveNTool:

  • Operating system Windows 7 and later;
  • Driver from 17.7.2;
  • Video Cards AMD 4xx, 5xx, 290, 380, 390, 290x, 380x, 390x, Fury, Fury X, Nano, Vega FE, Vega 56, Vega 64.

The program is designed to improve the performance of graphics cards and reduce power consumption. For this, there are not only functional tools, but also a fairly simple interface.

How to work with OverdriveNTool

We already mentioned above that the program has a simple interface, but for overclocking it still needs certain skills. Firstly, there is no clear algorithm here - the stability of the video card will have to be checked independently and the settings should be adjusted depending on the indicators.

The downloaded file must be moved to an empty folder and create a batch file for management, then run the program and enter the values you need in the fields.

You can adjust Download OverdriveNTool:

  • The frequency and voltage of the core;
  • Fan speed;
  • Maximum core temperature;
  • The maximum value I have is power consumption.

Be careful not to squeeze the impossible out of the card. With skillful handling, mining efficiency increases significantly, and the risk to equipment is minimal.

    Hi everyone

    I currently have 1 rx480 mining ethereum and a 1070 mining zcash. I’m looking to buy another card but am not really sure what to buy. The rx480 isn’t doing to well (running at 18-19 mh/s) so I don’t think I’ll get another one of those. The rx580 seems to be quite popular right now, but I’m not sure.

    What seems to be the best card for mining right now? Please include hashrate and power needed to run the cards.

    The RX480 is still an amazing card. My 7 cards all run at 29.3 and consume only 65w each – thats more efficient than most of the RX580/70s.

    Apply the memory straps using the one click tool in the latest Polaris bios editor and flash with atiflash.

    Then adjust the core clock to 1050 and the memory clock to 2010 using overdriventool. I have the memory running at 900mv, core and memory voltages are linked so to have a separate core voltage you must use WattTool to offset the voltage to approximately 835mv. That’ll get you 29.3 and running with only 35% fan at 70c.
