Goatpig fork in February 2016

Armory is a fully featured Bitcoin client that offers many innovative features not found in other client software!

Manage multiple wallets (deterministic and view-only), print paper backups that run forever, import or retrieve private keys, and store your savings on a computer that never connects to the Internet, while still being able to manage incoming payments and create outgoing payments with a USB key.

Multiple signature transactions are about 80% complete under the hood and will soon be completed and integrated into the user interface.

Armory has no built-in independent networking components.

Instead, it relies on the Satoshi client to securely connect to peers, validate blockchain data, and broadcast transactions for us. Although it was originally planned to cut the umbilical cord to Satoshi’s client and implement an independent network, the inconvenience was worth it. Reimplementing the entire network code is fraught with bugs, security holes, and possible forking of the blockchain. Using Bitcoin Core now makes the Armory more secure!
